Water Treatment > Hyper+Ion® Enhanced Coagulants

Our Hyper+Ion® line is the broadest offering of PACl-based coagulants in the U.S. It encompasses about 25 liquid products, containing both PACl alone and in combination with organic polymers. Different Hyper+Ion grades work under different conditions to meet a range of treatment goals, from removing turbidity, color and TOC to extending filter runs and reducing backwash waste to decreasing sludge volumes and the use of pH adjustment chemicals. Hyper+Ion enhanced coagulants perform particularly well where conventional systems fail, e.g., with cold or low-alkalinity source waters, and often allow plants to reduce cost and extend operating range significantly.

Hyper+Ion products have aluminum oxide contents of 8.3% to 23.3% and basicities of 0% to more than 70%. Many grades contain organic polymers that can aid low alkalinity operation and color removal, and enhance turbidity and particulate removal.
