As primary treatment coagulants, Clar+Ion® and Hyper+Ion® products can reduce BOD, suspended solids and phosphorus loading due to the secondary treatment process (or any subsequent stage), allowing the secondary unit to function more efficiently. In primary treatment, Clar+Ion and Hyper+Ion products can increase primary solids compaction and density, thereby reducing dewatering and disposal costs.

In secondary clarification, Clar+Ion and Hyper+Ion products produce superior sludge settling and phosphorus reduction. This allows greater secondary sludge compaction, resulting in improved dewatering Characteristics.

For industrial wastewater Applications, operators can take advantage of Clar+Ion and Hyper+Ion products superior settling or floating Characteristics and emulsion breaking Properties. Oily wastewater treatment programs can see a reduction in oil contamination in the wastewater with a corresponding increase in recoverable oil in the API separators and/or flotation units.

In the textile industry, Clar+Ion and Hyper+Ion products ability to destabilize dye complexes can be utilized for effective textile and dye wastewater treatment.
