Sodium bisulfite may irritate the eyes, nose and throat and may cause skin irritation. Ingestion may be harmful. When heated or mixed with acids, toxic sulfur dioxide gas is released which may be harmful or deadly if inhaled. May cause severe allergic reactions in some asthmatics and sulfite sensitive individuals. Anyone responsible for the procurement, use or disposal of this product should familiarize himself and those handling the product with the appropriate Safety and handling precautions involved.
